Of course, it's only appropriate to start out with a link and review of a website dedicated to us. However, if it was good, then I probably wouldn't be doing this blog. This site has a great logo which I wonder if they paid for. The layout and content of the site is pretty basic and has many ads. They do offer a birthjunkie.com email account, but my emails were never returned about this. They claim to be under construction but I have seen little in the way of updates of changes to the site in the last year or so.

In their defense, they do have a few good links and include the "bread and butter" of birth junkies; birth stories.

The Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to be a sort of social bookmark list for birth junkies. A birth junkie is someone who loves and adores all things birth related. Birth junkies are typically doulas, midwives, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, nurses, etc.

I wanted a place online to share what I have gathered to help others and to be a storehouse for the information.
